Export Vehicles from Colombia to the World

Export Intermediation

Exporting vehicles from Colombia is easier than you think. These are some of the documents you must have ready when making your export:

  • Commercial Invoice
  • Packing List
  • Vehicle Registration (must be under the Exporter’s name)
  • Copy of the Technical Vehicle Identification Certificate issued by DIJIN
  • Copy of the SOAT (Mandatory Insurance)
  • Copy of the Mechanical and Technical Inspection Certificate
  • Booking Confirmation
  • RUNT Query showing the vehicle’s history
  • Vehicle Ownership Certificate
  • RUT (Tax ID) enabled for export
  • Registration with the VUCE system

At CLM Cargo, we recommend securing the vehicle with chains and a reacher for better safety. The vehicle should have the minimum fuel necessary to start it if requested by the police. The ignition key must be placed on the driver’s side door, and the battery terminals may be disconnected.

The anti-narcotics police, during the physical inspection process, may request that the vehicle be turned on.

All ownership documents and records with the relevant authorities must be in the exporter’s name.
